Community Guidelines

Last Updated: September 18, 2026

UNFELLO is a community for honest conversations, confessions, stories, questions, and connection.

We want people to be able to say things they may find difficult to say elsewhere, including through anonymous confessions. That freedom only works when members also respect the safety, privacy, and dignity of other people.

These Community Guidelines apply to accounts, profiles, posts, confessions, comments, groups, messages, reactions, usernames, and other activity on UNFELLO.

By using UNFELLO, you agree to follow these Guidelines in addition to the Terms of Service.

1. Be Respectful

Disagreement is allowed. Harassment is not.

Do not use UNFELLO to:

  • repeatedly target or intimidate another person;
  • threaten, bully, humiliate, or maliciously shame others;
  • encourage coordinated harassment;
  • direct abusive users toward another person or account;
  • repeatedly contact someone after they have clearly asked you to stop;
  • use degrading or dehumanizing attacks against an individual or group.

Strong opinions and difficult conversations are permitted when expressed without harassment or threats.

2. Anonymous Confessions Are Not a Free Pass

UNFELLO may allow users to publish approved confessions publicly as Anonymous.

Anonymous posting is intended to make honest expression easier. It must not be used to harm, expose, threaten, impersonate, defame, stalk, or target another person.

Anonymous confessions remain subject to the same Community Guidelines as all other content.

UNFELLO may reject, edit for safety where appropriate, hide, or remove a confession before or after publication.

Repeated abuse of guest or anonymous features may result in restrictions, technical blocking, or a requirement to create an account.

3. Protect Other People’s Privacy

Do not post another person’s private or identifying information without appropriate permission.

This includes, where applicable:

  • home addresses;
  • phone numbers;
  • private email addresses;
  • financial or banking information;
  • passwords or authentication information;
  • government identification numbers;
  • private account credentials;
  • private medical records;
  • precise live locations;
  • private intimate information;
  • identifying information intended to expose an anonymous person.

When sharing a confession or personal story involving another person, remove unnecessary identifying details.

Use general descriptions where possible instead of names, workplaces, schools, exact locations, usernames, or other details that could identify the person.

4. No Doxxing or Attempts to Identify Anonymous Users

Do not attempt to discover, expose, publish, or encourage others to discover the identity of someone who has chosen to participate anonymously.

Do not post speculation about who submitted an anonymous confession.

Do not offer rewards, organize searches, or share identifying clues for the purpose of exposing an anonymous user.

5. No Impersonation

Do not pretend to be another person, organization, public figure, company, or UNFELLO representative in a misleading way.

Parody, commentary, or fan activity must not falsely represent itself as the real person or organization.

Accounts or content designed to deceive people about identity may be restricted or removed.

6. No Threats, Violence, or Dangerous Activity

Do not use UNFELLO to:

  • make credible threats of violence;
  • encourage violence against a person or group;
  • coordinate violent activity;
  • glorify or encourage serious physical harm;
  • provide instructions intended to facilitate serious criminal or dangerous activity;
  • encourage another person to harm themselves or someone else.

Discussions about difficult experiences, crime, violence, or personal safety may be allowed when the purpose is support, reporting, awareness, or genuine discussion rather than encouragement.

Where UNFELLO reasonably believes there may be an immediate serious safety risk, additional action may be taken where appropriate and lawful.

7. Sexual Content and Exploitation

UNFELLO is an 18+ community, but that does not mean all sexual content is permitted.

Do not post:

  • sexual content involving anyone under 18;
  • sexual exploitation or coercion;
  • non-consensual intimate content;
  • threats to publish intimate images;
  • content that sexualizes minors;
  • material intended to facilitate sexual abuse or exploitation.

Sexual or relationship discussions between adults may be permitted where they do not violate these Guidelines.

8. No Illegal Abuse, Scams, or Fraud

Do not use UNFELLO to organize, promote, or facilitate scams, fraud, theft, exploitation, malicious hacking, trafficking, or other serious unlawful activity.

Do not request passwords, financial credentials, verification codes, or sensitive account information from other users.

Do not use private messages or groups to run deceptive schemes.

9. Spam and Manipulation

Do not:

  • repeatedly post the same content;
  • send unsolicited mass messages;
  • create accounts primarily for spam;
  • artificially manipulate likes, reactions, engagement, or reports;
  • misuse guest submission features to flood the service;
  • use automation intended to bypass platform limits or moderation;
  • post misleading links or deceptive promotions.

UNFELLO may use technical limits and anti-abuse systems to reduce spam and repeated guest submissions.

10. Misleading Content and Misinformation

Users may share opinions, personal experiences, theories, and beliefs.

However, do not deliberately fabricate information in order to scam, impersonate, harass, manipulate, or seriously harm others.

Do not present altered or invented evidence as genuine for the purpose of falsely accusing another person.

Personal confessions represent the statements of their submitters and are not automatically verified by UNFELLO.

11. Defamation and Accusations

Be especially careful when posting allegations about identifiable people.

Do not use UNFELLO as a tool for knowingly false accusations, revenge campaigns, targeted humiliation, or unsupported claims presented as established fact.

Where appropriate, describe your own experience without unnecessarily identifying another person.

UNFELLO may remove identifying details or content where privacy, safety, or legal concerns arise.

12. Intellectual Property

Post content that you have the right to share.

Do not knowingly upload or distribute copyrighted, trademarked, or other protected material in violation of another person’s rights.

Quotations, commentary, criticism, parody, or other uses may be permitted where allowed by law, but users are responsible for the content they submit.

13. Confession Categories and Topics

Confessions must be submitted under the category or topic that best matches the content.

Do not intentionally use an unrelated category to gain attention, avoid moderation, or manipulate discovery.

UNFELLO may recategorize content where appropriate.

As UNFELLO develops its dedicated Confessions section, category selection may be required before a confession can be submitted.

14. Groups

Group creators and members must follow these Guidelines.

Creating a private or restricted group does not create an exemption from platform rules.

Groups may be restricted or removed if they are primarily used for harassment, scams, exploitation, illegal activity, privacy violations, or repeated serious rule violations.

15. Private Messages

Private messages are not public, but Community Guidelines still apply to them.

Do not use private messaging for:

  • harassment;
  • threats;
  • unwanted repeated contact;
  • scams;
  • exploitation;
  • sexual coercion;
  • spam;
  • attempts to obtain private credentials;
  • other prohibited activity.

Users may report inappropriate messages where reporting functionality is available.

16. Reporting Content and Users

If you believe content or a user violates these Guidelines, use UNFELLO’s reporting tools where available.

Current reporting categories may include matters such as:

  • Harassment
  • Inappropriate Content
  • Misinformation
  • Offensive Content
  • Suspicious Activity
  • Impersonation
  • Other

Do not misuse the reporting system to target people you simply disagree with.

Repeated malicious or knowingly false reports may themselves be treated as abuse.

17. Moderation

UNFELLO may review reported or submitted content and may take action based on context, severity, previous violations, user safety, and platform integrity.

Actions may include:

  • approving or rejecting submitted confessions;
  • changing a category;
  • hiding or removing content;
  • limiting features;
  • issuing warnings;
  • restricting messaging or participation;
  • suspending an account;
  • terminating an account;
  • applying technical anti-abuse restrictions.

Not every moderation action will necessarily be publicly explained.

Moderation decisions may involve human review, technical systems, or a combination of both.

18. Guest Confession Moderation

Guest confessions do not publish directly to the community.

They must first enter the moderation queue.

A confession may be rejected if it contains prohibited content, excessive identifying information, spam, links that are not allowed, attempts to bypass restrictions, or other material inconsistent with these Guidelines.

The fact that a confession was submitted anonymously does not require UNFELLO to publish it.

19. Repeat Violations and Circumvention

Repeated violations may lead to stronger restrictions.

Do not attempt to bypass a suspension, guest-submission limit, moderation restriction, or technical safety control by creating additional accounts, clearing identifiers, using automation, or otherwise deliberately circumventing enforcement.

Circumvention may result in further restrictions.

20. Age Requirement

UNFELLO is currently intended for users aged 18 and over.

People under 18 must not create an account or submit content through the current launch version of UNFELLO.

If UNFELLO becomes aware of an underage account or submission, appropriate action may be taken.

21. Use Good Judgment

Not every harmful behavior can be captured in one document.

Content or behavior that technically avoids a specific example above may still be restricted where it clearly undermines user safety, privacy, platform integrity, or the purpose of the community.

UNFELLO will aim to consider context rather than treating every situation identically.

22. Changes to These Guidelines

UNFELLO may update these Community Guidelines as the platform grows, new features are introduced, abuse patterns change, or legal and safety requirements evolve.

The Last Updated date will be revised when material changes are made.

Continued use of UNFELLO after updated Guidelines take effect may be subject to the revised version.
