Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 15, 2026

UNFELLO respects your privacy and is designed around conversation, community, and responsible anonymous expression. This Privacy Policy explains what information UNFELLO may collect, how that information may be used, when it may be shared, how long it may be retained, and the choices and rights that may be available to you.

By using UNFELLO, creating an account, submitting a confession, participating in the community, or otherwise interacting with the service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

UNFELLO is currently intended for users aged 18 and over.

1. Information You Provide to UNFELLO

When you create or use an account, you may provide information such as your email address, password credentials, nickname or display name, optional first and last name, profile information, account preferences, posts, comments, reactions, group activity, reports, messages, and other content you choose to provide.

UNFELLO is designed so that a nickname may be used as the primary public identity. Optional profile information may be subject to privacy settings available through your account.

You should not publish sensitive personal information that you do not want other users or visitors to see.

2. Account and Registration Information

When you register for an account, UNFELLO may process information necessary to create, authenticate, secure, and operate your account.

This may include your email address, password-related authentication data, nickname, optional profile information, registration time, account status, security information, and technical information associated with your use of the service.

Passwords are handled through the website’s authentication system and are not intended to be displayed in readable form.

UNFELLO may send operational messages relating to registration, password resets, account security, moderation, notifications, or other service-related matters.

3. Public Community Content

Content that you intentionally publish to public or community areas of UNFELLO may be visible to other users and, depending on the feature and privacy setting, may also be visible to visitors who are not signed in.

This may include posts, confessions that have been approved for publication, comments, reactions, profile information, group activity, and other community interactions.

Before posting, consider carefully whether the information could identify you or another person.

UNFELLO may moderate, restrict, hide, remove, or retain records relating to content where reasonably necessary to enforce Community Guidelines, investigate abuse, protect users, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations.

4. Private Messages

UNFELLO may provide private messaging between eligible members.

Private messages are not intended to be publicly displayed. However, information associated with private messages may be processed in order to transmit messages, maintain functionality, prevent abuse, provide notifications, investigate reports, enforce platform rules, protect users, maintain security, or comply with applicable law.

Where a message or conversation is reported, relevant content may be reviewed for moderation and safety purposes.

Users should not use private messages to send unlawful, threatening, fraudulent, exploitative, or otherwise prohibited content.

5. Anonymous and Guest Confessions

UNFELLO may allow visitors to submit confessions without creating or signing into a member account.

A confession submitted through guest mode is intended to be displayed publicly as Anonymous if it is approved by moderation.

The word “anonymous” in this context means that UNFELLO does not publicly display the guest submitter’s name or account identity with the approved confession. It does not mean that no technical information is processed during submission.

Every guest confession is subject to moderation before it can appear publicly.

UNFELLO may restrict the length, frequency, content, and number of guest submissions. At the current launch configuration, guest mode may allow up to 1,000 words per confession and up to 3 guest submissions before account creation is required.

Longer confessions or additional submissions may require the user to create a free member account.

6. Technical Information Used for Guest Submission Limits and Abuse Prevention

To prevent spam, abuse, repeated circumvention, automated submissions, and misuse of guest confession features, UNFELLO may process limited technical identifiers.

These may include a first-party browser identifier, a locally stored pseudonymous client identifier, browser or device information, user-agent information, language information, network information, timestamps, and an IP address.

An IP address may be processed temporarily in order to create a salted one-way technical identifier used for abuse prevention and guest-limit enforcement.

The current UNFELLO guest-limit system is designed so that the raw IP address is not stored in the guest-limit tracking table. Instead, pseudonymous one-way identifiers and submission counters may be stored.

UNFELLO may combine more than one technical signal when enforcing guest limits because relying only on a browser cookie or only on an IP address could make abuse controls ineffective.

These technical controls are used for service operation, security, moderation, fraud prevention, and enforcement of guest-submission limits.

7. Local Draft Storage

When using the confession feature, UNFELLO may store a draft locally in your browser or device.

For example, if a guest confession exceeds the guest word limit and the user chooses to create an account, the draft may remain stored locally so it can be restored when the user returns to the confession page.

Locally stored draft content generally remains on that browser or device unless it is cleared by the submission workflow, the user, browser settings, storage cleanup, or another device-level action.

Draft storage is intended to improve usability and does not mean that the draft has been publicly submitted.

8. Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use UNFELLO, technical information may be processed automatically.

This may include your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, access time, requested pages, referring information, cookies or similar identifiers, session information, security logs, login attempts, error information, and activity necessary to operate the website.

This information may be used to provide the service, maintain sessions, protect accounts, detect abuse, troubleshoot technical problems, improve reliability, enforce limits, and maintain security.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

UNFELLO may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies for essential website functions.

These may be used for login sessions, authentication, account security, site preferences, community functionality, anonymous-confession abuse prevention, guest-submission limits, pseudonymous visitor recognition, and draft preservation.

At the current launch stage, these technologies are primarily intended for service functionality, security, and essential operation rather than behavioral advertising.

If non-essential analytics, advertising, or other tracking technologies are introduced in the future, UNFELLO may update this Privacy Policy and provide consent or preference controls where required.

10. Analytics and Advertising

At the time of this Privacy Policy, UNFELLO may not have all planned analytics or advertising technologies enabled.

UNFELLO may introduce analytics, advertising, measurement, or monetization services in the future.

If services such as Google Analytics, Google advertising products, or similar technologies are introduced, this Privacy Policy and any required cookie or consent mechanisms should be updated before or alongside their use.

UNFELLO does not currently sell personal information for money.

UNFELLO does not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as part of the present launch configuration.

11. How UNFELLO Uses Information

UNFELLO may use information to operate and maintain accounts, provide community features, process and moderate confessions, provide messaging and notifications, authenticate users, protect accounts, prevent spam and fraud, enforce guest limits, investigate reports, enforce Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, respond to support or privacy requests, maintain backups and security logs, diagnose technical problems, improve reliability and usability, comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights and safety of users and the service.

Where applicable, processing may rely on performance of the service requested by the user, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the platform, user consent, compliance with legal obligations, or other lawful grounds available under applicable law.

12. Moderation, Reports, and Safety

UNFELLO may process content and related information when content or users are reported.

This may include posts, confessions, comments, account information, groups, messages associated with a report, moderation history, technical information, and other information reasonably necessary to investigate the issue.

UNFELLO may take actions including warning users, restricting features, hiding content, removing content, suspending accounts, terminating accounts, or retaining relevant records where appropriate.

Automated thresholds or technical systems may also be used to identify spam, suspicious behavior, abuse, or security risks.

13. How Information May Be Shared

UNFELLO may share information where reasonably necessary with hosting providers, infrastructure providers, email or notification service providers, security providers, technical service providers, professional advisers, contractors acting on behalf of UNFELLO, or other service providers that support operation of the website.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, legal process, court order, regulatory requirement, or a valid request from an authorized public authority.

UNFELLO may disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, security, or integrity of UNFELLO, its users, or others.

Publicly posted content may naturally be viewed, copied, quoted, shared, indexed, or otherwise distributed by other users or third parties.

UNFELLO does not sell private-message content or anonymous-confession submission data as a marketing list.

14. Marketing Communications

UNFELLO may send service-related communications that are necessary for account operation, security, moderation, password recovery, notifications, or other requested features.

If UNFELLO introduces promotional or marketing emails, they should be sent in accordance with applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.

Creating an account, submitting a confession, or using UNFELLO does not by itself authorize unrelated third-party marketing.

User information should not be silently reused for unrelated projects or businesses without an appropriate lawful basis or consent.

15. Data Retention

UNFELLO retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention periods may depend on the type of information, account status, moderation requirements, security needs, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, backup systems, technical requirements, legal obligations, and legitimate record-keeping needs.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups, system logs, security records, or fraud-prevention systems after deletion from active systems.

Moderation records may be retained where reasonably necessary to prevent repeated abuse, enforce platform rules, handle appeals or disputes, or protect the service and its users.

16. Account Deletion

Where account-deletion functionality is available, members may request or initiate deletion of their account.

Deleting an account does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of every piece of information associated with that account.

Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, moderation enforcement, or legitimate record-keeping.

Public content may also be handled according to platform settings, moderation requirements, technical limitations, and applicable law.

Information copied or shared by other users outside UNFELLO cannot necessarily be removed by UNFELLO.

17. Anonymous Confession Deletion

Because a guest confession may be submitted without a member account, UNFELLO may not always be able to verify that a person requesting deletion is the original guest submitter.

Where UNFELLO introduces a guest-management token or another verification mechanism, that mechanism may be used to process eligible requests.

UNFELLO may remove anonymous confessions for moderation, legal, privacy, or safety reasons even without a request from the original submitter.

18. Security

UNFELLO uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

These measures may include access controls, security monitoring, firewall protections, password controls, technical abuse prevention, software updates, backups, and other safeguards.

However, no website, network, storage system, or online service can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and should use strong, unique passwords.

19. International Use and Data Processing

UNFELLO may be accessible to users in multiple countries.

Information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live, depending on hosting, infrastructure, service providers, or operational requirements.

Where required by applicable law, UNFELLO will seek to use appropriate protections for international processing or transfers of personal information.

20. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information.

These may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection to certain processing, or withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions, identity verification, security requirements, and legitimate retention obligations.

UNFELLO may request information reasonably necessary to verify the identity of a person making a privacy request before acting on that request.

You may contact UNFELLO using the privacy contact listed below.

21. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Similar Privacy Rights

Where applicable privacy laws provide additional rights, UNFELLO will process eligible requests in accordance with those laws.

Depending on the circumstances, UNFELLO may rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligations, or another lawful basis for processing.

Users may also have the right to lodge a complaint with an applicable data-protection authority.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

22. United States Privacy Rights

Certain U.S. state privacy laws may provide eligible residents with additional rights concerning personal information.

Depending on the law and whether it applies to UNFELLO, these may include rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of information, or opt out of certain uses of personal information.

UNFELLO does not currently sell personal information for money and does not currently operate cross-context behavioral advertising as part of the present launch configuration.

If UNFELLO’s practices materially change, this Privacy Policy and any required controls will be updated accordingly.

23. Children

UNFELLO is currently intended only for persons aged 18 or older.

UNFELLO does not knowingly intend to provide interactive community services to children under 18.

If UNFELLO becomes aware that an underage person has created an account or submitted content contrary to platform rules, appropriate action may be taken, including restriction or removal of the account or content.

24. External Websites and Services

UNFELLO may contain links to external websites, applications, or services.

UNFELLO is not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

When you leave UNFELLO or interact with another service, that service’s terms and privacy policies may apply.

25. Business or Service Changes

If UNFELLO undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale, transfer of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law.

Any successor handling personal information would be expected to process it consistently with applicable legal requirements.

26. Changes to This Privacy Policy

UNFELLO may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, technology, legal requirements, moderation systems, monetization practices, or features change.

When material changes are made, the Last Updated date will be revised.

Where appropriate or legally required, UNFELLO may provide additional notice or request consent.

Users should periodically review this Privacy Policy for updates.
